Louisiana iris (such as the small symphony orchestra left) is a native to the southeastern United States. Named after its origins, this species grows in swamps, along river banks, on wet slopes. The Louisiana Garden Plantation and Combination Iris bring us a lot of color and flower form.

The Louisiana iris grows in many parts of the world, proving highly adaptable to climate, soil, and cultural practices. Although it is generally agreed that the Louisiana iris must grow in swamps or water gardens, they will tolerate a wide range of moisture conditions. Drying is usually the life cycle, and they will not prosper and Bloom if growing less than an inch of water per week during the growing season. “Iris” in the growing world of iris in northern Louisiana is successful.
