Peace Lily Spathiphyllum
The Peace Lily is a wonderful, low-maintenance indoor plant. With broad, glossy dark green leaves and white flowers, bright indirect light and weekly watering are all that is needed to keep this plant thriving. This beautiful plant topped NASA’s list for removing several toxins commonly found in homes.
Pothos Epipremnum Aureum
Also known as Devil’s Ivy, this eye-catching plant is known for its ease and its flexibility as well as its air purifying qualities. In NASA’s study, the Pothos was one of the best all-around performers, removing 73% of benzene in a 24-hour period and 9.2% of trichloroethylene, a toxin commonly found in adhesives, spot removers, and rug-cleaning fluids.
Snake plant Sansevieria Trifasciata
A great pick for tight spots, the Snake Plant needs very little water and tolerates low light. Removing at least 107 known air pollutants while producing copious amounts of oxygen throughout the night makes this an excellent plant to keep in your bedroom.
Chinese Evergreen Aglaonem
With silver and green variegated leaves, the Chinese Evergreen looks lovely in any setting. Only moderate to bright indirect light and moderate water are needed for this easy-to-care-for plant that helps filter out a variety of air pollutants. And for those who love a little color against the green you can enjoy beautiful blooms and even red berries from the Chinese Evergreen.
ZZ Plant Zamioculcas Zamiifolia
Complete with deep green and glossy foliage, the ZZ plant asks only to be kept out of direct sun and watered sparingly. Yet another easy to care for plant on our list with a high resistance to insects and diseases. In addition, the ZZ plant is another highly capable air purifying plant. The perfect indoor plant; low light, very little care, and purified air!

One of the most common house plants, spider plants are decorative and easy to grow as they are able to perform photosynthesis under minimal lighting.
